Talismans are a new gear type in Minecraft Dungeons II. They give a passive bonus just by being equipped. There are 24 of them, and you can equip three at once. Each one levels from I to II to III while you have it on, and the bonus grows with it.

Thrifty Pendant’s values are copied as the wiki writes them. They look like pairs of bonus and emerald count, but the wiki does not explain the formula. The wiki lists Amethyst Lens as a reward from “The Prime Enchanted Revived”. The quest list has no quest by that exact name, so we read it as the Prime Enchanter rematch.

Companion talismans (5)

Talisman Companion How to get it
Tasty Bone Wolf Main quest The Silence in Little Howl
Golem Kit Iron golem Final quest The Final Souldown
Prickle’s Mark Prickle, a passive Sift creature Side quest A Friend Till the End (Lullaby Hills)
Wobblestone Wobble, a passive Sift creature Side quest Wobble Run (Singer’s Meadow)

Companion talismans have no per-level values.

Eight secret talismans and a hidden boss

Apart from Wonderful Wheat, the wiki marks eight talismans as secret: Amethyst Lens, Emerald of Good Fortune, Glowstone Flask, Lucky Clover, Medallion of Momentum, Ocelot’s Paw, Soul Chip and Thrifty Pendant.

According to the Minecraft Wiki, collecting all eight opens the Lush Caves in Howling Woods, where the secret boss Mosstrosity waits. Mosstrosity is a monstrosity-type boss that summons moss cubes, and it drops Wonderful Wheat. Its attacks are not yet written up on the wiki (October 4, 2026).

Gear rarity

Weapons, armor and artifacts come in four rarities.

Rarity Random effects Notes
Common None Drops most often
Rare 1
Special 2 Sold by the town merchant. Its random effects can be re-rolled
Unique Built-in effect plus 1 random Has its own name and look

A unique item is a distinct version of a regular item, with its own name and appearance. It carries a built-in effect plus one random effect. After the story, the Storm Generator that appears during Soul Storms drops gear with three effects (per the wiki).

On Steam, 74.1% of players have equipped a unique item (One-of-a-Kind) and 25.4% have re-rolled a special piece (Strike While it’s Hot), as of October 4, 2026.

Unique weapons and armor

The Minecraft Wiki lists 20 unique melee weapons, 5 unique ranged weapons and 11 unique armor sets (checked October 4, 2026).
