Minecraft Dungeons II has 11 bosses and 6 minibosses (Minecraft Wiki, checked October 4, 2026). The first boss is the soul corrupted witch in Howling Woods, and the last is the Monstrous Opus. Below are the main bosses in story order, with where you fight them, how they attack, and how many Steam players have beaten each one.
The bosses in order
The order follows the quest flow and the way each boss’s achievement rate drops.
| # | Boss | Where | Main attacks | Beaten (Steam) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Soul corrupted witch | Howling Woods | Summons slimes, poison and exploding potions | 59.0% |
| 2 | Twisted Warden | Deep Dark (Down Into The Deep Dark) | Sonic beam, soul fire eruption, spin | 53.7% |
| 3 | Copper Monstrosity | The Supreme Evoker’s Tower (Wading Rainy Plains) | Charge, electric rings, electric blast, copper cubes | 36.9% |
| 4 | Prime Enchanter | Frozen Highlands (Hiking Frozen Highlands) | Teleports, shockwaves, summons vindicators | 25.5% |
| 5 | Monarch | Sculker nest in the Sift (Wrath of the Sculkers) | Spinning slashes, feather projectiles, a clone | 15.4% |
| 6 | Monstrous Opus | Deep Dark (The Final Souldown) | Beam mega attack | 12.4% |
Three more bosses appear along the way: the Sculk Monstrosity in the Sift, the Redstone Monstrosity late in the game, and the Supreme Evoker right before the final fight. The Sculk and Redstone Monstrosities have no achievement of their own, so we could not pin down their exact place in the order. The Supreme Evoker shares its achievement with the Monstrous Opus.
The last two on the wiki’s boss list are the secret boss Mosstrosity and the post-game Storm Generator.
1. The soul corrupted witch
The first boss in the game, empowered by the Supreme Evoker’s soul magic. It summons slimes and throws poison potions and exploding potions. Its achievement is Craftier than Witchcraft, which 59.0% of Steam players have.
2. The Twisted Warden
Fought deep in the Deep Dark, in front of the portal to the Sift. Its development codename was The Maw. In the story, the Supreme Evoker raises it from the ground.
| Attack | What it does |
|---|---|
| Arm swing | A wide close-range swing that throws you back |
| Sonic boom | Fills its maw with light and fires a beam forward. Leaves soul fire behind and sends eight tracking soul projectiles |
| Fire eruption | Sucks in nearby souls and fires them into the floor, raising patches of soul fire |
| Summon | Roars and calls Excavators, skeletons and Flame Constructs |
| Spin | Spins its whole body at speed. After seven seconds it stops and falls over |
The moment it falls over after spinning is your opening. A Totem of Shielding artifact can hold the sonic beam, but only briefly. It drops the Twisted Tooth talisman, which raises soul gain by up to 140%. There is also a rematch side quest, The Twisted Warden Revived.
3. The Copper Monstrosity
A copper golem boss on the top floor of the Supreme Evoker’s Tower in Rainy Plains. It guards the green note block you need to open the gate to the Sift.
| Attack | What it does |
|---|---|
| Headbutt | Two downward head swings at close range, each hitting hard |
| Charge | A shoulder charge when you keep your distance |
| Electric rings | Spots of electricity that turn into expanding rings and apply the conductive status |
| Electric blast | Two waves of electricity from its arm, with lightning striking along their path. Leaves it electrified |
| Copper cube summon | Only while electrified. Spawns copper cubes around the arena |
Electrified lasts ten seconds, so the cube summon can only come in the ten seconds after an electric blast. The rematch side quest, The Copper Monstrosity Revived, rewards the unique weapon Stormcaller.
4. The Prime Enchanter
A member of the Illager High Council, fought in the Frozen Highlands main quest Hiking Frozen Highlands. It teleports around firing shockwaves while vindicators spawn into the fight. The quest rewards the unique weapon Mob Mallet. According to the wiki, its rematch quest rewards the secret talisman Amethyst Lens.
5. The Monarch
The ruler of the Sift’s sculkers, fought in the main quest Wrath of the Sculkers at the far end of a sculker nest, past a musical gate. It also turns up at random in Sift dungeon boss rooms. It has no rematch quest.
| Attack | What it does |
|---|---|
| Heel stomp | A short close-range twirl that damages anyone it touches |
| Summon | Calls two stalkers and two scavengers. Not used while they are still alive |
| Dash strike | A twirling lunge. Five seconds later, feathers rise along its path and fly at a nearby hero |
| Hover loop | A fast spin toward a hero. Five seconds later, eight feathers fly out of the circle |
| Calamity combo | A two-arm slash, a dash and spin, then another slash |
| Clone | After losing a quarter of its health, it creates a Monarch echo that uses the same attacks |
Defeating the Monarch also kills its echo. The feathers come five seconds after each attack and fly at a nearby hero, so expect a second hit after you dodge the first. Its achievement is Regicide, held by 15.4% of Steam players.
6. The late bosses
The Sculk Monstrosity is a big, fast boss fought in the Sift. It charges across the arena and punches with fists wreathed in soul flame. It summons sculk cubes and raises sculk catalysts around the arena. When the catalysts explode, they heal it.
The wiki describes the Redstone Monstrosity as one of the last bosses in the game. It fires explosive redstone from its body.
The final fight is the Deep Dark main quest The Final Souldown. Defeat the Supreme Evoker and the Monstrous Opus wakes. The story behind it is covered in the Illager High Council and the ending.
Minibosses
| Miniboss | Notes |
|---|---|
| Harmonizer | A huge sprout. Rarely spawns on the Sift’s surface. Buffs nearby enemies with beams |
| Dartback | A Sift sifter, fought in an ichor-filled area during the main quest Lost Harmonies |
| Warden | A Deep Dark miniboss |
| Enderman | Appears as a miniboss |
| Evoker | Appears as a miniboss |
| Witch | Appears as a miniboss. A soul corrupted one counts as a boss |
The Harmonizer is the miniboss people search for as the “Sprout boss”. Its roar sends out a shockwave and calls around seven enemies. It links to those enemies with beams that buff them, and killing a linked enemy cuts the beam. It can also grab a hero with a tentacle and slam its whole body down. When it dies, nearby sifters become enraged and stronger.
The secret boss and the post-game boss
Mosstrosity is the secret boss. According to the wiki, collecting all eight secret talismans opens the Lush Caves in Howling Woods, where you fight it. It drops the Wonderful Wheat talisman, which summons a llama. Where to find the secret talismans is covered in every talisman in Minecraft Dungeons II.
The Storm Generator appears during Soul Storms, which start after the main story. It summons tougher enemies, and beating them drops gear with three effects.
